Documenting Edmonton

Webster defines the word archive as: a place where documents and other materials of public or historical importance are preserved.
If I were creating a group of archives to represent Edmonton I would include: 1.) photos of the train in fort edmonton park. the one that takes you from the main gates into the park. 2.) photos of emily murphy park, which is one of my families favorite parks to walk in along the river 3.) dried pressed wild roses 4.) a piece of writing (a few excerpts from edmonton on location but i have not decided yet).

  1. Oh and commenting on my own post I forgot to add my Ryan Smith Edmonton Oilers jersey to the archive!

  2. Even though you commented on my blog saying that we both picked such different things for our archives (mine was more personal and yours was something that could me a lot to a larger audience) I don't think they're actually that dissimilar. Especially with the inclusion of the photos of Emily Murphy Park and the excerpts from Edmonton on Location, I'd say the reason that they are relevant is because you can associate significant memories to these things. And good on you for including the Oilers jersey. I think you'd have to pry mine out of my cold dead hands lol
